Overview and Design
Noise has officially introduced the Master Buds Open as the latest addition to its premium Master series, developed in partnership with Bose. Built for users who want to enjoy audio while staying conscious of their surroundings, these open-ear earbuds adopt a C-bridge design. Instead of entering the ear canal, the buds clip around the ear curve, with each earbud weighing just 5.5g for comfortable long-term wear. The accompanying pebble-style charging case features a flat layout where the earbuds rest horizontally.
The earbuds feature touch controls for playback, skipping tracks, and adjusting volume, all customizable via the Noise Audio app. They also offer an IPX4 rating for protection against sweat and minor water splashes, and come in Mercury and Carbon color options.
Audio Performance and Features
Powering the audio is a 10.8mm custom dynamic driver with a specialized diaphragm. Sound by Bose tuning aims to deliver balanced audio performance complete with deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. A co-developed Dynamic EQ provides six sound presets through the companion app. Additionally, the earbuds support Spatial Audio for an immersive experience with compatible media.
For voice calls, the Master Buds Open utilizes a quad-mic setup equipped with ENC and DNN technology to minimize background noise. Smart capabilities include Chat AI for accessing an AI voice assistant directly from the earbuds, alongside an AI transcription feature that transcribes conversations in real time for lectures or meetings.
Connectivity and Battery Life
The earbuds connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support Dual Connectivity, enabling seamless simultaneous connections to two devices like a smartphone and a laptop. Google Fast Pair is also supported for quick pairing on Android devices.
In terms of battery performance, the earbuds provide up to 6 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, with the USB Type-C charging case pushing total endurance up to 28 hours. The case also supports fast charging for quick top-ups.
