Prime Minister and University Chancellor Balendra Shah (Balen) has officially appointed new rectors and registrars to key executive positions across multiple public universities in Nepal. These strategic appointments were carried out based on recommendations provided by the vice-chancellors of the respective institutions.
Oath Taking and Formal Induction
Following their selection, the newly designated administrative officers formally took their oath of office and secrecy during a ceremony organized at the Ministry of Education and Sports. This event officially marks the beginning of their executive terms across the public university system.
Key Priorities Outlined by Education Minister
Speaking at the swearing-in event, Minister of Education and Sports Sashmit Pokharel emphasized the vital importance of effective teamwork, institutional synergy, and synchronized leadership. He urged the incoming officials to work collaboratively toward structural university reforms and higher educational standards.
Minister Pokharel further highlighted essential focus areas for the new executive team, which include strengthening academic research, standardizing and modernizing examination processing systems, improving overall institutional capacity, and elevating the quality of higher education throughout Nepal.

The ceremony was attended by prominent educational stakeholders and government officials.
