The Medical Education Commission (MEC) has issued an official directive instructing all academic institutions offering postgraduate medical education programs in Nepal to complete their institutional self-assessment process for the upcoming academic session 2083/84.
Submission of Online Self-Appraisal Form
According to the notification, all recognized universities, constituent colleges, affiliated medical colleges, and health science institutions running postgraduate level programs are required to fill out and submit their online Self-Appraisal forms. The form must be submitted through the official web portal of the Commission.
Payment of Annual Institutional Monitoring Fee
In addition to submitting the online form, institutions must fulfill their regulatory and financial requirements. As part of the process, all eligible universities, colleges, and health science academies are mandated to pay the prescribed annual institutional monitoring fee. The specified payment must be deposited directly into the Medical Education Commission's designated bank account at Himalayan Bank during the submission process.
Institutional Compliance Guidelines
This requirement applies to all medical education providers operating postgraduate courses across the country for the 2083/84 session. All relevant constituent and affiliated institutions must ensure that both the online self-appraisal submission and the monitoring fee deposit at Himalayan Bank are completed in line with the instructions provided by the Medical Education Commission.
