Lenovo has officially introduced the 2025 iteration of its popular IdeaPad Slim 3 ultrabook in the Nepali market. Designed as a budget-friendly machine for students and everyday users, the updated model brings key enhancements over its predecessor, including a taller aspect ratio screen and refreshed processor options.
Design and Display
The laptop combines an ABS plastic chassis with a metal top lid featuring a centered Lenovo logo. Measuring roughly 17.9 mm in thickness and weighing around 1.64 kg, it provides a slim, portable form factor suited for work and study on the go.
A major upgrade in this model is the shift to a 15.3-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, moving away from the older 16:9 standard. This change delivers additional vertical space for productivity tasks like web browsing and document editing. The display includes an anti-glare finish, a 60Hz refresh rate, and 45% NTSC color gamut coverage.
Performance and Hardware
For processing power, buyers can choose between AMD Ryzen 5 8540U, Ryzen 7 8840HS, Ryzen 7 170, or Intel Core 7 210H configurations. While these processors handle everyday tasks, programming, online classes, and multitasking with ease, they are not designed for intensive video editing or high-end gaming. The AMD variants offer enhanced energy efficiency for improved battery life.
The system comes with 8GB of soldered memory alongside a single SO-DIMM expansion slot, allowing total RAM to be upgraded up to 24GB. For storage, it provides a 512GB NVMe SSD.
Battery Life and Connectivity
The IdeaPad Slim 3 is powered by a 60Wh battery, supplied with a 65W power adapter. It features Lenovo Rapid Charge Boost technology, which delivers up to 2 hours of operating time from a quick 15-minute charge.
Physical ports cover typical daily requirements, featuring two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port (supporting Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.2), an HDMI 1.4 port, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
