Garmin has officially introduced its latest ultraperformance smartwatch, the Garmin Enduro 4, designed specifically for endurance athletes, long-distance trail runners, and outdoor enthusiasts. Engineered to handle extreme environments, the wearable focuses on exceptional endurance, advanced navigation, and comprehensive fitness tracking.
Rugged Design and Display
The Garmin Enduro 4 features a substantial 51mm casing built from fiber-reinforced polymer, paired with a lightweight titanium bezel and a scratch-resistant Power Sapphire lens. Despite its rugged construction and 10 ATM water resistance rating, the device weighs just 66 grams. It ships with a ComfortFit Fabric Band featuring QuickFit support. On the front, it sports a 1.4-inch sunlight-visible transflective Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) display. While it prioritizes efficiency over AMOLED vibrancy, the MIP panel excels in direct sunlight, boosted by solar charging capabilities. Garmin has also added a built-in LED flashlight with selectable white and red light modes for low-light visibility.
Upgraded Hardware and Navigation
Under the hood, the watch packs 50% more RAM compared to the Enduro 3, alongside a revamped map engine. These internal hardware upgrades allow the watch to pan through built-in routable maps 30% faster. A new perspective view is also available to make route-following more intuitive during hikes and trail runs. For data, maps, and music, the watch comes equipped with 64GB of built-in storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and ANT+.
Health, Fitness, and Features
Integrating seamlessly with the Garmin Connect ecosystem, the Enduro 4 introduces a new 'Epic' feature, enabling users to combine multi-day or multi-week activities into a single story. Health metrics include round-the-clock heart rate, sleep, stress, and respiration monitoring. For training, Garmin added stamina zones and stamina curves to help athletes track real-time endurance. Specialized profiles have also been expanded: indoor rowing now provides VO2 max and power curve data, while rucking activities calculate energy expenditure based on pack weight across more than 100 total activity profiles.
Unmatched Battery Performance
Battery life remains the primary highlight of the Enduro 4. With solar charging under recommended outdoor conditions, Garmin rates the watch for up to 90 days in smartwatch mode and up to 320 hours in full GPS mode. As the watch hits global markets, outdoor enthusiasts in Nepal can expect availability details and pricing announcements from local authorized sellers in the near future.
