The Food Security Education Project (FSEP), a Colorado-based non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to boosting food security across Nepal, has announced its undergraduate scholarship program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The scholarship scheme targets promising students pursuing higher education in agricultural sciences and related food security disciplines at recognized universities in Nepal.
Application Dates and Eligibility Criteria
The application window opens on September 1, 2026, and will close on September 30, 2026. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have taken the relevant university entrance examination and secured formal admission to a university program in Nepal. The primary goal of FSEP is to empower students who plan to reside and work in Nepal following their graduation, contributing directly to rural livelihoods, agricultural yield improvement, nutrition, and environmental sustainability.
Funding Coverage and Selection Process
For selected awardees, the scholarship will cover complete university tuition and academic fees, along with a modest stipend for living expenses. Candidates will undergo an initial evaluation based on a combination of their past academic performance, demonstrated financial hardship, and future career vision focused on Nepal's agricultural sector. This cycle continues FSEP's ongoing support for Nepali scholars, following earlier recipient selections announced in 2025 and 2026.
Scholarship Conditions
Selected candidates must execute a standard agreement accepting the terms of the grant. To keep the scholarship active throughout their B.Sc. studies, recipients are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and submit a comprehensive written report at the end of each semester.
