Dell has officially brought its budget-friendly gaming machine, the Alienware 15, to the Nepali market. Designed to make high-end gaming aesthetics and performance more accessible, the laptop is currently available in its Intel variant (DA15260), while the AMD model (DA15265) is set to arrive later.
Design and Display
The Alienware 15 incorporates the brand's signature AW30 design, built with a Nova Black polycarbonate chassis, a 180-degree hinge, and a distinctive V-rail front edge. To keep thermals in check during intensive gaming, Dell has integrated its Cryo-Tech cooling setup featuring a Cryo-Chamber airflow system and copper heat components. Despite carrying gaming-focused hardware, the laptop remains manageable in weight, scaling up to 2.25kg.
On the display front, it sports a 15.3-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 300 nits of brightness and supports AMD FreeSync to minimize screen tearing. While color coverage sits at 62.5% sRGB—which may not suit color-critical content creators—it offers plenty of clarity and fluid motion for gaming.
Performance and Specs
Under the hood, the Alienware 15 offers multiple CPU choices across Intel and AMD lines. The AMD builds feature either a Ryzen 5 220 (6 cores, up to 4.9GHz) or a Ryzen 7 260 (8 cores, up to 5.1GHz). On the Intel side, users can pick between a Core 5 210H (8 cores, up to 4.8GHz) and a Core 7 240H (10 cores, up to 5.2GHz).
Graphics options range across several NVIDIA GeForce RTX tiers. The RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 configurations come with 6GB VRAM and a 70W TGP, whereas the higher-tier RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 feature 8GB VRAM alongside an 85W TGP. Memory options include 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600MT/s across two SO-DIMM slots for easy upgrades. Internal storage goes up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD.
Battery, Connectivity, and Pricing
Powering the laptop is either a 54Wh 4-cell or a 70Wh 3-cell battery pack, both equipped with ExpressCharge and ExpressCharge Boost features. Port selection includes an RJ45 LAN port, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a USB-C port supporting 100W Power Delivery and DP 1.4a, an additional USB-C Gen1 port, and a 3.5mm headset jack. Wireless connectivity relies on Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. A 720p HD camera, dual-array microphones, and dual 2W speakers complete the setup.
The Dell Alienware 15 is available through official Dell-authorized retail channels in Nepal. The Intel Core 7 240H variant paired with an RTX 4050 GPU is priced at NPR 191,999.
