Dell has officially launched its all-new Dell 14 Premium laptop in the Nepali market. Originally unveiled globally in June 2025 as part of the brand's major lineup overhaul, the laptop serves as a direct continuation of the legendary XPS series, packing updated hardware into a refined ultraportable chassis.
Brand Restructuring and Design
Earlier this year in January, Dell announced plans to phase out familiar product names like XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, Precision, and OptiPlex (with Alienware remaining as the sole exception). Under the new structure, standard models take the Dell name, business devices become Dell Pro, high-performance laptops are branded Dell Pro Max, while Plus and Premium tiers indicate higher build quality. The Dell 14 Premium replaces the former XPS 14.
Visually, the device closely resembles its XPS predecessor, featuring an all-metal build available in Platinum or Graphite colors. It weighs 1.66 kg, reflecting a subtle weight drop from the previous model's 1.68 kg. The 14.5-inch display features Dell's signature InfinityEdge slim bezels and is offered in two configurations: a 2K IPS panel or a 3.2K OLED touchscreen supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance and Hardware
Powering the Dell 14 Premium is Intel's Core Ultra Series 2 "Arrow Lake" platform, with options up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor. Graphics configurations range from integrated Intel Arc graphics on base variants up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 discrete GPU.
Memory options start at 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x RAM, configurable up to 32GB (note that RAM is soldered and non-upgradeable). Storage is handled by a standard 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD, which is fully user-upgradeable.
Ports, Connectivity, and Battery
Physical I/O includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports (supporting USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1), a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack—omitting legacy USB-A ports entirely. Wireless connectivity is upgraded to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Additional features include an FHD RGB-IR webcam with Windows Hello biometric login, a backlit keyboard, a glass haptic touchpad, and an 8W quad-speaker audio system. The laptop is powered by a 69.5Wh battery that supports 60W charging.
