Asus has expanded its laptop lineup in Nepal with the new Vivobook S15 (S5507QA). Marking a major shift from traditional x64 architecture, this notebook runs on an ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, promising impressive efficiency and dedicated AI performance.
Sleek Design and Lumina OLED Display
The Vivobook S15 comes with a minimal monotone finish in a single Cool Silver color option. Built inside an all-aluminum chassis, it measures around 15mm in thickness and weighs under 1.5kg. It also features a 180-degree lay-flat hinge and a CNC-engraved logo on the top lid.
For visuals, the laptop sports a 15.6-inch Asus Lumina OLED panel featuring a 16:9 aspect ratio and 3K resolution. The screen supports a peak brightness of 600 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a rapid 0.2ms response time.
Snapdragon X Elite Performance
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-78-100) processor. This 12-core chip includes 42MB of total cache and achieves a peak multithread frequency of 3.4GHz. Graphics are driven by an Adreno GPU offering 3.8 TFLOPs, while a Hexagon NPU delivers 45 TOPS of AI processing power.
The laptop comes with either 16GB or 32GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8448 MHz, combined with 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. It boots on Windows 11 Home out of the box.
Copilot+ PC and AI Features
As Asus's inaugural Copilot+ PC, the Vivobook S15 features a dedicated Copilot key for instant AI access. It offers smart capabilities like Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions, and Cocreator for generative tasks. Additionally, the integrated Asus AiSense IR camera enables automatic screen dimming and presence-based locking. Users also get StoryCube, an exclusive AI application designed to manage, edit, and organize media files.
Battery and Connectivity
To keep things running, the laptop houses a 70Wh battery that Asus claims provides up to 18 hours of battery life, accompanied by a 90W AC power adapter in the box. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while physical connectivity features two USB4 ports alongside two USB 3.2 ports.
