Ai+ has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in Nepal with the arrival of the Ai+ Pulse 2. Building upon its predecessor, the new device introduces noticeable improvements across display, battery life, and software while keeping an accessible price tag. Following its initial rollout a month ago, another storage variant of this phone has now reached the Nepali market.
Design and Display
The Ai+ Pulse 2 adopts a modern flat-frame design for a firm and solid feel in hand. Available in four color choices—Green, Blue, Purple, and Black—the back panel carries a clean, minimalist finish that looks premium. For protection against daily hazards, it comes with an official IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Up front, the phone sports a large 6.75-inch HD+ screen that now supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate—a significant jump from the 90Hz panel on the original Pulse. The display delivers up to 450 nits of peak brightness, making it well-suited for indoor usage.
Performance and Software
Powering the device is an octa-core Unisoc T7250 processor fabricated on a 12nm process, engineered to handle everyday tasks like browsing social media feeds and switching between apps smoothly. Memory options include 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM alongside up to 128GB of eMMC internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the software side, the handset debuts the company's new NxtQuantum OS built on top of Android 16, offering a cleaner interface and optimized day-to-day operations.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the rear features a 50MP primary camera, while the selfie shooter gets an upgraded 8MP front sensor. Camera performance is enhanced by integrated AI algorithms within the NxtQuantum OS for clearer image processing.
A major highlight of the device is its massive 6,000mAh Li-Po battery, upgraded from the 5,000mAh capacity on the previous model. Charging is handled via a 10W standard adapter using a USB Type-C port.
