Architect at Habitat for Humanity International Nepal

Habitat for Humanity International Nepal is seeking a dedicated and qualified Architect to support its shelter and community development programs. In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in designing, planning, and managing structural projects that provide safe, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions to vulnerable communities across Nepal.

The Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams, local partners, and community members to develop context-appropriate building plans and oversee site execution. Key responsibilities associated with the position include:

• Creating detailed architectural drawings, master plans, and technical specifications for housing and infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensuring all architectural designs strictly align with Nepal's national building codes, safety guidelines, and disaster-resilient standards.
• Performing regular site visits to conduct feasibility assessments, monitor construction quality, and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Integrating eco-friendly, locally sourced, and cost-effective building materials into design solutions.
